Curbside Recycling - No Need to Separate

The contract with Allied Waste with the Town of Flower Mound offers a curbside recycling program for the convenience of our residents. All items are separated at the Allied Waste recycling facility elminating the need to sort the recyclable materials or have multiple recycle bins. Recyclables are picked up on your regular collection day.

Recycling Tips

Please be sure your blue recycling bin is at the curb by 7:00 a.m.
All recyclables can be placed together in the recycling bin.
Place your recycling bin two feet away from your cart so it can be easily seen from the street.
Kitchen waste, yard waste, car tires, and batteries (all types) are NOT ACCEPTABLE for recycling.

Do Recycle	How To Recycle	Don't Recycle
Newspapers, magazines, box board, phone books, junk mail, chipboard (cereal/cracker boxes), corrugated cardboard, junk mail, high grade white paper, ONP-old newspaper	Put in recycle bin. If it looks like rain, use the bin lid. Wet newspaper CANNOT be recycled. Flatten cardboard boxes and set under bin.	Hard cover books, thermal fax paper, blue-line paper, styrofoam, wooden pallets, bubble wrap, waxed cartons, hanging file folders, carbon paper.
All Plastic Bottles - Includes milk bottles, and heavy colored plasticsdetergent bottles, juice containers, etc.	Rinse and remove the lids, place in your blue bin.	Plastic bottle lids, Plastic wrap, Bags, Toys, Plastic Motor Oil bottles, insecticide containers.
ALUMINUM AND METAL CANS Food and beverage cans.	Rinse and place in recycle bin.	Paint or automotive product cans, scrap metal, or disposable aluminum plates.
GLASS BOTTLES Any color glass food and beverage bottles.	Rinse and remove the lids. Place in recycle bin.	Light bulbs, plate glass, auto glass, mirrors, ceramics or any glass that is not a food or beverage bottle.
