When are Town Council meetings held? Council meetings are held on the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month. Any resident can speak during the citizen participation portion of the meeting by filling out a speaker card available in the Town Hall foyer prior to each council meeting. Unless otherwise noted, Town Council meetings are held at 6 p.m. in the council chambers at Town Hall, located at 2121 Cross Timbers. |

Who is my Town Council Member? Flower Mound Town Council members are elected "at-large" and serve two-year terms. The Mayor, Place 2 and Place 4 are elected in even numbered years, and Places 1, 3, and 5 are elected in odd-numbered years. |

Where is the library located and what are the hours of operation? The Town's library is located at 3030 Broadmoor Lane and is open from 9 a.m. - 9 p.m. Monday - Wednesday, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Thursday, 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 1 p.m. - 5 p.m. on Sunday. How do I find out my trash day? Trash service is provided to the Town through a franchise agreement with Allied Waste Services. Regular trash and recycle pick-up occurs once a week. Your day will be given to you when you sign up for water and trash service. Bulk pick-up will occur on either your first and third or second and fourth regular pick-up day monthly, depending on your address. Is a permit necessary to hold a Garage Sale? No permit is required for a garage sale, however certain restrictions apply. The garage sale cannot last more than three days. Signs may be placed on private property no earlier than 24 hours prior to the sale and must be removed no later than 24 hours after the conclusion of the sale. |

How do I register my home alarm system? Simply stop by the Flower Mound Police Department with the name and monitoring number of the alarm company, the name and telephone number of the permit holder, and two additional contacts. There is a one time fee of $25. For more information, call the Police Department at 972.874.3328. |

Is there a curfew for children in Flower Mound? Yes, children under the age of 17 cannot be out between 11 p.m. and 6 a.m. from Sunday to Thursday and between midnight and 6 a.m. on Friday and Saturday. There is an exception if the child is going to or returning from a job without taking a detour and if the child is supervised by a parent or guardian. |

Can I remove a tree? Prior to removing any tree, please contact the Town's Environmental Review Analyst, at 972.874.6348. |

Do I have to register my pet? Yes, Town ordinance requires that all pets be registered. There is no fee involved, simply bring your pet's rabies vaccination certificate to the Animal Services Department, 3950 Justin Road, or fax the certificate to 972.874.6475. Be sure to include a note with the fax that it is for registration. |

Do I need a permit to replace or repair my fence? A permit is required when you are replacing the posts, changing the height or moving a fence from its current location. You will not need a permit to replace only pickets if you are certain that a fence permit was obtained for the fence that is being replaced. Please be aware that there are special fence requirements if your fence is the barrier for your pool. Can something be done about the construction noise by my house? Construction working hours are limited to 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. The Police Department enforces these hours with a zero-tolerance policy for violations. To report construction noise violations, call the non-emergency police dispatch at 972.539.0525. |

How can I schedule a fire station tour? Residents are welcome to drop by any of the Town's three Fire Stations at any time; however to ensure firemen will be available for tours, residents are encouraged to schedule an appointment. Rooms are also available for meetings, birthday parties, and other nonprofit gatherings free of charge with a reservation. To schedule a tour or reserve a room, call 972.874.6205. |
