Kid Fish

Rheudasil Pond will be stocked with more than 500 lbs of catfish for the event which is free for youth ages 16 and younger. Prizes will be given in several categories and awards will be given on the day.

Family Camp Out

$35/$38 per family
Spend a night under the stars and give the whole family a taste for camping at Gerault Park! Bring your own tent, sleeping bags, bug spray, and flashlights. We’ll take care of the rest. Dinner, breakfast, and lots of fun will be provided. Pre-registration is required.

CAC Birthday Week

Parks and Recreation will be celebrating the CAC’s 4th birthday and staff is inviting you to join them for a fun filled week of activities and events. There will be a special Member’s only event scheduled for Sunday, June 17 from 6:30pm-8:00pm at the Outdoor Waterpark. This event is FREE with paid admission.

Independence Day Children’s Parade
Wednesday, July 4 at 11:00am
Timber Creek elementary, 1900 Timber Creek Road
Lineup begins at 10:30am at the corner of Eaton and Timber Creek Road with the Parade starting promptly at 11:00am. Decorated bikes, trikes, wagons, and strollers will parade a short route to the LISD School Administration Building where free hot dogs, drinks, children’s activities, and live entertainment await.
Independence Fest Evening Program and Fireworks

Bakersfield Park, 1201 Duncan Lane
The evening program, fireworks show, and parking at Bakersfield Park are FREE. No glass, alcohol, or tobacco products may be brought to the park. Concessions, live music, Kids Zone, arts and crafts, auto show, art show, and business vendors will be enjoyed by all. Featuring Smash Mouth: 8:15pm-9:35pm with a Special Performance by Good Question: 6:15pm-7:45pm. Fireworks begin at approximately 9:40pm. The rainout date for the fireworks show is Thursday, July 5.
