Town Council to Unveil Official Name, Design for Community-Built Playground

Witness a part of Flower Mound history as the Town Council announces the official name and design of the upcoming community-built playground. The Council is scheduled to finalize the playground’s name during the regular meeting at 6:00pm on Monday, April 16 at Town Hall, 2121 Cross Timbers Rd. On April 19, the Town’s playground design firm will present a proposed design for the community-built playground during a Town Council Work Session, which begins at 6:00pm at Town Hall. Refreshments will be served after the work session in celebration of the project.

In February, Town staff and the design team visited Flower Mound elementary schools and gathered more than 500 ideas from some of Flower Mound’s youngest residents, who are also playground enthusiasts. Hundreds of volunteers will make this dream a reality for children of all abilities in September. A playground steering committee has already initiated fundraising efforts and will continue to help spread the word about this amazing community project.
