    The Flower Mound Public Library will host an Employment Seminar Series at 1:00 pm on October 11 and October 25. In this second program, Presenter Barbara Cervantes, PHR, Human Resources Manager, will cover interviewing in-depth in an interactive format. The program will provide attendees with interview preparation tips, an opportunity to watch and critique a live interview demonstration, and include tips on the post interview follow-up process.   12. All About Bats

    The Flower Mound Public Library will host the program “All About Bats” on Monday, October 27 at 7 p.m. This family-friendly introduction to bats will cover bat biology and habitat; species of bats, including Texas bats; and bat and human interactions. Presenter Scott Kiester is a Texas Master Naturalist who has volunteered with the Houston Bat Project as a “Bridge Host” at the Waugh Street Bridge bat colony. A retired oil and gas geologist, he is completing a Master’s degree in conservation biology studying prairie ecology and restoration. To register, call 972.874.6165 or email fmpl@flower-mound.com.

Seniors in Motion

  1. AARP Smart Driver Course

    October 22, 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM @ Shirley Voirin Social Senior Center

    Experience the new and improved river safety course from AARP. The course is designed to help individuals stay safe on today's roads. An AARP volunteer instructs this course that enables drivers to refresh their driving skills and understand how to adjust to age-related challenges. Please register at the Senior Center Front Desk. Cost of class is $15 for AARP members and $20 for non-members.
