Citizen's Fire Academy

About the Program

The Flower Mound Citizen’s Fire Academy is a hands-on learning program for residents that want to know more about the Fire Department. The academy is free and open to Flower Mound residents only who are at least 18 years old. Students will have the opportunity to learn basic first aid, hands only CPR, Fire & EMS operations, and have the chance to participate in live fire training and vehicle extrication.

The 2017 Citizen's Fire Academy will be held on Thursday evenings, beginning February 2, 2017 through March 30, 2017. There will also be three Saturday morning classes on February 11, February 25, and March 25.
*There will not be any classes the week of LISD's Spring Break.

If interested, please complete the Citizen's Fire Academy application. Applications can be emailed, faxed, mailed, or dropped off at Flower Mound's Central Fire Station, located at 3911 S. Broadway Ave. The class is limited to 12 residents, so get your application in early.
