Donations of books, compact discs, and DVDs that are clean and in good condition are accepted.

Items Not Accepted

Magazines, videocassettes, audio cassettes, computer software, and textbooks are not accepted; neither are computer books over three years old.

How the Library Uses Donations

Items are either added to the library collection based on the Library’s Collection Development Policy, or donated to the Friends of the Flower Mound Public Library for their use. In most cases, the donations are given to the Friends of the Library for its book sales. Proceeds from the sales enable the Friends to provide funding to purchase books and other materials for the library and to sponsor library projects and activities.

The library cannot accept donations with stipulations.

Donation Drop Off Location

Donations can be dropped off at the Flower Mound Public Library during open hours.

Gifts Are Tax Deductible

Contributions to the Flower Mound Public Library or the Friends of the Library are tax deductible. A receipt is available upon request. Flower Mound Public Library staff or the Friends of the Library cannot establish or affirm the value of your donation.
