Special Events
International Tabletop Day 2018:On Sunday, April 22, 2018 from 12-4 p.m., the Flower Mound Public Library will host the all ages “International Tabletop Day!” Bring your family and friends to this table top gaming open house. Play old favorites, bring one from home, or learn a new game! All games will be provided. We look forward to seeing you there!

Truck Rodeo:Wednesday, April 25, 3:00-4:30 p.m. See Animal Control, Fire, Parks, Police, and Public Works vehicles and equipment up close in the Library Parking Lot. Popcorn and lemonade will be served. Don’t forget to bring a camera! (In case of inclement weather, event will be cancelled.)

Buzzing Bumblebees: Geared toward children who are not yet walking, this class will encourage babies to explore the world of language and develop motor skills through books, songs, rhymes and related activities. Buzzing Bumblebees meets on Mondays and Tuesdays at 9:30 a.m. Registration is not required

Wiggly Walkers: A new class designed for “new walkers” (those who are just starting to walk and still require some assistance) up to the age of two. Wiggly Walkers encourages tots to build early literacy skills through music, books, and rhyme. This class meets Wednesdays and Thursdays at 9:30 a.m.

Romping Rhymers: Two- and three-year-olds will have a rollicking time reading, singing, and dancing while continuing to build literacy skills at Romping Rhymers on Wednesdays and Thursdays at 11 a.m.

Leaping Learners: Children ages three to five will share books, sing songs, and develop group listening skills in this class designed as a launch pad >to reading. Leaping Learners meets Mondays and Tuesdays at 11 a.m.

After School Special
Wind down after a long day at school with different activities each month including crafts, performers, and games for grades K-5. This program meets on the fourth Monday from 3:45-4:30 p.m. Snacks will be served.

Babies ages 0-18 months. This is an opportunity for parents, caregivers, grandparents, and their baby to join others in experiencing a variety of sensory play areas including building boxes, art activities, shakers, and much more! This program meets on the second Friday of each month (except August) from 11:15-12:15 p.m.

Gaming Unplugged
Join fellow gamers for an afternoon of chess, table-top games and role-playing games on the second Sunday of the month from 2:00-4:00 p.m. Games will be provided, or you may bring your own. All ages welcome.
2018 dates: January 14, February 11, March 11, April 8, May 13, June 10, July 8, September 9, October 14, November 11 and December 9.

Family Storytime
Stories, music, rhyme, crafts, and snacks for families with young children (60 minutes). Registration not required. This program meet on the third Wednesday of each month (except August) from 7-8 p.m.

Firecracker Book Club        
Book discussion and related activities for children in grades 3-5 only. Reservations required for groups of eight or more; call 972.874.6167. A limited number of books will be available to borrow at each meeting. This program meets on the second Tuesday of each month, September-May at 4:00-5:00 p.m.
