If you think getting healthy is difficult, you are not the only one. Many kids find it hard to get started, for many different reasons. Do any of these reasons sound like you:
I can’t exercise because I don’t have any equipment
I don’t have time to exercise
I don’t know how to exercise
My parents/guardians aren’t active
Exercise sounds boring
If you can relate to any of these statements, we are here to help. You don’t have to be an athlete or be involved in sports to be fit. You just have to sit less and move more! The more people you get involved, the easier it will become.
Rollerblading, skateboarding, rock climbing, and biking are all ways you can have fun and exercise at the same time. It’s always easier to begin with an activity that you don’t have to learn new skills for, like biking or jogging. Once you become more experienced you can take a class to learn new things like weight training and Pilates.
The pages linked on the left will provide information and recipes geared towards teens, and helping them live a healthier lifestyle.
